Two years ago...

Today I am grateful that, two years ago today, Noel showed up to Neighbors in Atlanta to get me back.

I had recently chopped off all of my hair, and I was wearing spandex and cat ears, and had whiskers drawn on my face. I was dressed for Halloween.

Although it would take 6 more months, I gave in.

I am so grateful for that night and every day I've spent with him since.

Athens and artichokes

Today I am grateful to live in Athens. ITs a small community but a great one. One where little ol me can get into the newspaper twice in one year. I'm not too excited about the photo they chose of me but there was no caption so hopefully the banner herald readers will not know it was me. http://onlineathens.com/stories/080210/liv_689380630.shtml Tonight Lindsay Will and I made paneer spinach and artichokes that we dipped in butter and bernaise. So delicious. And very round: Toby was quite jealous. He had a few leftovers, though. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone Location: Normal Ave,Athens-Clarke County,United States

Risotto and Sonny Perdue

Today I am grateful that I woke up to Noel kissing me on the cheek as he was leaving. Today Sarah, Cheryl and I went to the ribbon cutting of the MCG/UGA Medical School Partnership. It was not as much hot as it was extremely humid...and I immediately drenched the dress that Julie gave me. I have never gotten so many comments about a dress before. I am grateful to Julie for giving me some great new clothes. My whole outfit today cost about 5 dollars. That doesn't count the underwear...but you can't count that because underwear is expensive. I love this great dress that Julie gave me, bottom line. This is a photo of Cheryl and I fake cutting the ribbon before the actual ribbon cutting.  I know my posts always involve food...but I love to cook. I found this recipe in a magazine and it was all about green food. Recipes for zucchini, pea soup and then this one were in the article.  Who can resist a big helping of spinach and goat cheese risotto made with vegetable stock and...

About me

Hi, I'm Claire of Claire_Crafted! I was born and raised in Georgia, but have also called DC and now Denver home. I cannot remember a time in my life when fabric wasn't a part of it. I grew up watching my mother sew our Halloween costumes and cocktail dresses for herself. Her mother, my grandmother, sewed all of her children's clothes and, so far, every wedding dress on our side of the family, including mine.  I started sewing on my mother's Singer when I was very young, but never really got good at it until many years later when I was out of college. Today, I work on a Bernina Activa 240 and a Brother 1034D. I am a very proud owner of not one but two pair of lefty scissors.  You can follow my sewing adventures  @claire_crafted on Instagram.
